Benue State University students POTEST; Against better Treatment of shot president

Earlier 6am today being August 26, 2019, there have been a peaceful protest embarked on by the members of the National Union of Benue state Students (NUBES) over alleged abandon of their union president, Tyonor Smith who was gunned down last week Friday.

The students had agitated for  better treatment for him as it was said, he was rather abandoned at a poor hospital.

The Dean of students affair, Joseph Kerker accompanied by other key members of the union had moved into the premises of the Benue state University, Makurdi to iron out the issue while the both gates of the school were thronged  by its students especially students for the 7am general studies.

The source of the gunmen is yet unraveled. Investigations hold that the union is experiencing a change of power which has supposedly created misunderstanding among members. The president was said to have nominated a candidate who is not popular.
